What is a Distribution Clerk?
A distribution clerk takes the role of the warehouse custodian. He is responsible for accepting orders, organizing, and distributing goods and products within the warehouse center. He assists the distribution manager in the completion of administrative and clerical duties. Without him, distribution center activities would go to a complete halt.
The six fundamental WAREHOUSE processes comprise receiving, dispatching, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Optimizing these six processes will allow you to streamline your warehouse operation, reduce cost & errors, and achieve a higher perfect order rate.
So on this first Training Manual we will focus more on the RECEIVING PROCESS in the WAREHOUSE
