Biography
Akhona Nquma-Mlilo is the Managing Director/ CEO and Founder of Ululo Empowerment Technologies (Pty) Ltd, a 100% Black empowered, managed and gendered business enterprise based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. A business professional who holds a qualification in Information Technology and Business Management. She is also a qualified Skills Development Facilitator and Assessor, and has recently completed Small Business Management with the University of Cape Town.
Akhona also has certificates in the following short courses:
• Personal Transformation & Strategic planning.
• Costing and Pricing.
• Sales and Marketing.
• International Colour Accounting
Has ten (10) years’ experience in the fields of management, training and development, as well as business advisory services. She also has portrayed leadership and management throughout her professional careers through administrative, managerial and substantive tasks by serving companies such as the Small Enterprise Development Agency, and Destiny Media House to mention the few.
Champion for Skills Development:
Akhona started her business in 2014 after seeing the growing need for computer literacy and the demand for the skill. She has a passion of helping other people, and believes in empowering them through education and training.
Her Milestone Achievements include:
• Getting a R50 000 Grant from National Youth Development Agency (Agency) in 2015.
• Awarded a Full Accreditation by Mict Seta in 2016
• Chosen as a Participant in the SAB Foundation Tholoana Enterprise Programme in 2017.
• Awarded a Grant to boost her business by SAB Foundation in 2018.
• Tsogo Sun Entrepreneurs programme Participant-2019
