Transport Administrators are responsible for carrying out tasks under the direction of a road
transport manager. These tasks are mainly administrative and financial duties connected to the
movement of goods and passengers by road.
Duties may include estimating the costs of haulage, invoicing clients, lodging payments and
general office work such as dealing with paperwork and storing information either by filing or on
computer. They can also be responsible for organising rotas and arranging for the delivery and
collection of goods.
Clerks dealing with the transportation of road passengers have additional duties such as dealing
with passenger enquiries and complaints.
